Our Curriculum Guide identifies curriculum links with Version 8.4 and Version 9.0 of the Australian Curriculum and includes suggested elaborations that relate to our site.

Discovery Boxes
The Discovery Boxes offer students hands-on experiences without leaving the classroom. This resource includes two travelling boxes filled with authentic convict artefacts, photos, maps, books, information and a list of additional items that relate to both Port Arthur and Cascades Female Factory. A teaching pack is also included.
The Discovery Boxes are available to Tasmanian schools and can be borrowed free of charge for 2–4 weeks. Boxes must be collected (no postage or shipping available) from the Cascades Female Factory Historic Site in South Hobart.
Bookings are essential. Please contact the Education team for more information or to request to loan the Discovery Boxes.
