1830 Restaurant & Bar

With sweeping views of the Penitentiary, gardens and grounds, 1830 Restaurant & Bar is a perfect place to enjoy a long, relaxed meal with friends. Our menu uses fresh seasonal produce sourced from local growers and producers, and you can choose your favourite from our range of fine Tasmanian wines, craft beers, whiskies and spirits.

While our regular dining service is currently on pause, 1830 Restaurant & Bar is proud to offer day and evening dining experiences for groups of 12 or more, set against the stunning backdrop of the Port Arthur Historic Site. Whether you’re planning a special celebration, a private tour group, or a corporate gathering, our team can tailor a memorable dining experience that showcases the best of turrakana / Tasman Peninsula produce, history, and hospitality.
