Program prices are charged in addition to site entry. Some programs are only available on certain days and/or times of the year – please ensure that you cross-check your preferred visit date with the availability of your desired program. Teachers can select and combine programs to meet the needs of their students.
Education programs
- Convict Life at Port Arthur (Years 4–12, $3.50 per student)
- Profitable Punishment: Brickmaking (Years 4–6, $6.50 per student)
- Historical Archaeology at Port Arthur (Years 7–12, $6.50 per student)
Please note: This workshop is only available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during Tasmania's school terms.
Youth programs
- Isle of the Dead Cemetery Tour (Years 5-12, $10.00 per person)
- Escape from Port Arthur Tour (Years 5-12, $10.00 per person)
- Ghost Tour (Years 9-12, $16.50 per student)
Tours of the Isle of the Dead have capacity restrictions. Teachers and supervisors are included in the total group size and are charged a subsidised ticket price to accompany the tour.
Please note: The Ghost Tour is an evening tour that takes place after the site closes for the day. Tour departure times vary by season. From April to September, ghost tours for youth groups depart between approximately 6pm and 7pm. From October to March, ghost tours for youth groups depart between approximately 7pm and 8pm. Your group will be allocated a tour departure time by the Education team.
