The first convict tour started the day the prison colony closed in 1877. We welcome you to join this tradition with one of our experienced guides providing the essential history of Port Arthur and its significance as a secondary punishment station. The Convict Tour runs for approximately 45 minutes and is our most accessible tour with only a few hundred metres of walking over reasonably flat even ground.
TOUR INFORMATION
The Convict Tour departs from the Visitor Centre daily at 9:30am, 10:30am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:45pm.
