14-15 February

As part of the MyState Australian Wooden Boat Festival held in Hobart February 8-11 2019, Port Arthur has a number of vessels visiting before and after the festival.

Australia’s sail training flagship, the Young Endeavour participates in events around Australia and the world and will be stopping by Port Arthur on 14-15 February with 29 passengers on board.

Young Endeavour was constructed by Brooke Marine in Lowestoft, England during 1986 and 1987. On 3 August 1987, Young Endeavour began her voyage to Australia with a crew of 24 young members who were both British and Australian. In 1988 the Young Endeavour was gifted from the United Kingdom to the Government and people of Australia to mark the Bicentenary in 1988.
