Port Arthur is partnering with Festival of Voices to deliver a package experience combing a concert from premiere vocal ensemble, The Australian Voices with a gourmet buffet offering a range of Tasmanian treats. The venue, the Asylum provides an intimate and special experience at Port Arthur Historic Site.
The evening program includes chant-inspired music, ancient plainchant, a Tibetan folksong, and didgeridoo player William Barton’s love-song to his native Kalkadoon country. Newly commissioned work will also be performed which features a range of Australian composers. The night will start with an appearance from local community choir The Peninsula Singers.

Note access to the Asylum is via the main Visitor Centre at Port Arthur Historic Site where patrons will then walk across the site to the Asylum. Comfortable footwear and a warm jacket is recommended for the evening.
