Port Arthur Historic Site and the Cascades Female Factory Historic Site are delighted to invite Tasmanian teachers and teacher assistants to our FREE Teacher Open Days!
Come along to one or both of these open days to discover our incredible stories and find out how to incorporate the historic sites into your classroom teaching.
Port Arthur Historic Site
Tuesday 8 October, 9am–5pm
To get the most out of your visit, we recommend arriving no later than 10am.
Introductory Tours and Harbour Cruises
(times allocated following RSVP)
2:30pm ‘Breaking the Code’ educational
semaphore activity (spaces limited)
10am–2pm Meet the Education Team at the Visiting Magistrate’s House to discuss educational activities and resources designed for the Australian Curriculum. Staff will also be available to provide advice on booking a school visit.
