Bespoke bricks, surplus from the Port Arthur Historic Site Separate Prison Conservation Project.

PRODUCT

Total Quantity: 40,000 bricks

Available as a whole lot (40,000 bricks), or separated into half (20,000 bricks), or quarter (10,000 bricks) lots. Please specify desired lot size in tender response. No other lot sizes will be considered.

Dimensions: 230mm long x 110mm wide x 70mm high (within tolerances as described by AS/NZS 4455:1997). Perforated, 10 hole format.

Please Note: these bricks are standard common/face brick size with the exception of the height, which is 5mm shorter than standard.

Finish: ‘Rustic Red’ wire cut with some colour variation. Suitable for rendering, as face, or as commons.

Condition:             Unused, in storage since 2007

INSPECTIONS AND COLLECTION

Inspection is by appointment only, between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Please contact Nicky Corbett to arrange an inspection, E: nicky.corbett@portarthur.org.au, P: 03 6251 2382.

No delivery available, pick-up from Port Arthur Historic Site only. Bricks will be stacked on pallets ready for collection; forklift with driver will be available for loading. PAHSMA will wrap/strap each pallet. Ensuring the load is secure is the responsibility of the buyer or agent acting on their behalf.

MAKING AN OFFER

Tender submission requirements:

  • Name of tendering party – if a company/business, please also include a contact name;
  • Contact details of tendering party – phone number, email address, postal address;
  • Total number of bricks requested (40,000 / 30,000 / 20,000 / 10,000);
  • Lump sum price offered, GST inclusive;
  • Date offer placed; and
  • Signature of tendering party (or authorised representative).

Tenders to be submitted by email to tenders@portarthur.org.au; by mail to 6973 Arthur Highway, Port Arthur TAS 7182 (c/o Conservation & Infrastructure Department); or by hand to the tender box at Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority, Administration Building, 6973 Arthur Highway, Port Arthur TAS 7182.

If submitting by email, please ensure your email subject is clear and unambiguous, and if you are including attachments, that they are below 10 megabytes (MB) in size.

The successful tenderer(s) will be notified in writing by 18 January 2018, and will be contacted to organise a date and time for collection of the bricks. Unsuccessful tenderers will be notified in writing at the conclusion of the tender process.
