From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority (PAHSMA) has put the health and safety of our staff and visitors as our top priority based on public health advice.
Following, a risk assessment process and staff consultation, the following measures have been implemented to protect the health and safety of all staff and visitors to our site:
As at 15 December 2021 PAHSMA requires that:
- All visitors (ages 12 +) to the site to be double vaccinated (or proof of medical exemption).
- Face masks are to be worn by both staff and visitors whilst on Port Arthur Historic Sites
- TAS Check–In app is used by all persons entering all Port Arthur Historic sites.
Proof of vaccination or medical exemption may be presented to staff or agents of PAHSMA at the entrances as a condition of entry through a COVID-19 digital certificate (either from myGov or the Check in TAS app), Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register, or an equivalent document from another country.
