Commandant’s Tour (90 minutes)

Deep dive into our history

In the 1800s, whenever any guests or dignitaries visited the convict colony, the Commandant would host a tour of the facilities. This 90-minute small group guided walking tour takes you on a deeper dive in to the history of Port Arthur as you are escorted through the most significant buildings including the Penitentiary, the Commandant’s House, the Separate Prison, and the Convict Church.
