It’s spring time in Tasmania, and at the Port Arthur Historic Site, Government Garden is coming into bloom.
This very special heritage pleasure garden was constructed so that the wives and children of the military and civil officers who were based at the notorious convict prison settlement would have a pleasant place to stroll and relax.
The gardens at Port Arthur tend to be at their best during spring and early summer, so this is a great time to visit.
We were trying out the iPad to record video while making this clip. The picture looks good, but it’s a bit wobbly, being hand-held, but thought it was still worth sharing.
