Port Arthur Historic Site delighted to 'rate' with Trip Advisor reviewers
The Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority is delighted to have received Certificates of Excellence for both the Port Arthur Historic Site and Felons Bistro for 2013.
To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must have maintained an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on Trip Advisor, and must have been listed on Trip Advisor for at least 12 months. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
Director of Tourism Operations for the Port Arthur Historic Site, Anne McVilly said, “We take our visitor feedback very seriously and are so pleased that our efforts to provide an excellent experience are being acknowledged by those that count the most – our customers!”
“There are so many people responsible for delivery of a great experience at the Port Arthur Historic Site ranging from the front of house staff, the guides taking the introductory tour, the grounds and garden crew that keep everything looking so meticulously stunning, our incredible heritage and conservation team that continue to deliver excellent interpretation and that’s just a broad brush stroke of those contributing to the overall experience.”
“We were also pleased to note that there were a number of Certificates of Excellence awarded to other businesses in the Tasman Region which indicates that there is a level of consistent service across the area. This is vital to ensure that the good word keeps spreading.”
“The latest Tourism Information Monitor statistics attest to the power of word of mouth with up to 4 out of 5 people who have visited Tasmania in the last 12 months saying that they have recommended Tasmania to others.”
“Good word-of-mouth combined with the strength of social media is increasingly important to success in the travel industry.”
