Marie Jeanne Hoffner, from Chateauroux in France, is currently undertaking an artist’s residency at the Port Arthur Historic Site.
Her project will engage with specific buildings, areas and history of the Site and explore the relationships between people and place, domestic space and private history, to create what she describes as ‘an echo with historical memories’.
Marie Jeanne will be speaking with members of the local community and PAHSMA staff, inviting them to contribute their own memories of the Site to her project.
Marie Jeanne will be in residence at the Site for six weeks during September and October.
The Artist in Residence program is an initiative of Arts Tasmania and undertaken in partnership with PAHSMA.
